News & Notes
Welcome, Camila Guerrero!
We are excited to welcome Camila Guerrero as the new Research Coordinator at Slover Linett. In this role, Camila is helping with a variety of projects across the firm in both administrative and operational ways to help move projects forward and strengthen the research studies that we lead for our clients in the cultural sector. Camila joined the team in January, and has already contributed greatly to the work of the firm.
Our work at Slover Linett marries two of her main interests – research and a passion for social justice – and she’s eager to help arts & culture organizations become more diverse and equitable in the work that they do. She’s seen how, historically, organizations have failed to do the work to engage under-served communities or often purposefully ignored communities and feels research is a way to help bridge those gaps.
Currently located in Washington D.C., Camila will join us in Chicago, IL when the time is right. When not working at Slover Linett, you can find Camila journaling, knitting, reading and writing Spanish poetry, and spending time in nature. She’s also an active member in her local community and holds a leadership position at the Audelia Community Response Team, a Latina led mutual aid group that serves and advocates for at-risk community members and she serves on the Arts & Culture committee of Young People for Progress.
Camila holds a BA in Spanish Language, Literature, & Culture and Government & Politics as well as a certification in Latin American Studies from the University of Maryland. She’s excited to use her Spanish language capabilities in future fieldwork to help our research better connect with communities that are Spanish speaking. Having worked with so many community members in those groups, she’s eager to bring (and amplify) their voices in our work.
Please join us in welcoming Camila!
