Culture + Community in a Time of Transformation: A Special Edition of Culture Track is a collaborative investment by several foundations and corporations to help the cultural sector become more equitable and empathetic as it emerges from the pandemic. From the outset, lead funding has been provided by the Wallace Foundation, whose arts program and research team have also offered crucial thought-partnership. Other major funders for 2021 include the Barr Foundation, Terra Foundation for American Art, and William Penn Foundation, with additional targeted support from Aroha Philanthropies, Institute for Museum & Library Services, and Knight Foundation. Throughout, in-kind support from FocusVision, an online research innovator, has been crucial, and the Microsoft Corporation donated technical talent to develop an interactive data-exploration tool.
The generosity of all these supporters makes this research open-source and free to all, including the participating cultural organizations.
Please join our whole project team in thanking all of these funders and supporters. It takes a village!
