Ashley Ann Wolfe served as Slover Linett’s senior communications & operations manager from 2017 to July, 2022, managing the firm’s communication with colleagues and clients around the arts and culture field. From writing press, website, blog, and social-media content to working with outside collaborators, facilitating team discussions, and participating in research fieldwork for clients such as the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and Goodman Theatre, Ashley made a dizzying variety of contributions at Slover Linett. She’s proud to have helmed Slover Linett’s media strategy for Culture + Community in a Time of Transformation, a national research collaboration with Culture Track, and her writing has been published in Curator: The Museum Journal. She served on the firm’s equity, diversity, access, and inclusion steering committee and spearheaded Slover Linett’s volunteer work in the Chicago community.

A theatre artist and arts manager, Ashley is a founding ensemble member of The New Colony, a Chicago theatre company devoted to new-play development founded in 2008, and has served as its company manager and executive producer. She is passionate about using theatre as a tool for social advocacy, expanding access to the arts and empowering women in the theatre industry, and she mentors emerging artists through The New Colony’s education programs. Ashley believes deeply in making theatre more accessible to a wider audience, and strives to produce content that amplifies organizations that are doing this well. Before joining Slover Linett, Ashley worked as the assistant theater manager and tour manager at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and as delegate coordinator at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in Scotland. She earned her BA in acting and directing at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. She loves live performance, and is passionate about animals (especially her two felines, both named after notable “Cats”), natural history, accessibility, and political science. Ashley is based in Chicago with her partner and cat co-parent, Pete.
