We’re proud to announce that Liz Monroe-Cook, PhD, a consulting psychologist who specializes in group facilitation and qualitative research, is joining Slover Linett as affiliated consultant. We’ve enjoyed collaborating with Liz on recent projects in higher education and the cultural sector, and this affiliation makes the partnership “official.”
We first met Liz in the early 2000s, when she was co-vice president of marketing for our longtime client, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. We kept in touch as Liz’s consulting career blossomed and her skills deepened in areas complementary to our own: group process facilitation, ideation and creativity training, and Polarity Management™ (a powerful technique for getting workplace teams past traditional dichotomies).
A veteran qualitative researcher, Liz has moderated focus groups and conducted in-depth interviews around the US in the arts, informal learning, and higher education, as well as for businesses and government agencies. We’ve been fortunate to have her on our team for several research and planning projects in the last few years for clients such as the University of Chicago, the Chicago Community Trust, Seattle Art Museum and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History.

Liz is interested in emotional and cognitive forms of audience engagement and how they influence organizations’ strategic planning and implementation processes. In her facilitation and training work, she helps individuals and teams tap into their own creativity to develop and deliver sustainable, adaptable programs.
Liz becomes Slover Linett’s third affiliate, joining research fellows Michael Di Govine (an anthropologist working in the cultural sector) and Rachelle L. Brooks (a learning outcomes scholar in higher ed).
